Hope Builders Skill Development & Acquisition Foundation (HBF) is committed to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in Lagos state, with a particular focus on the Ibeju-Lekki environs. The Entrepreneurship Training at HBF is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to start and grow successful businesses. The program follows a modular setup, consisting of three modules: Inspire, Create, and Start.
Inspire Module: This module is designed for "employment-seeking individuals" who are exploring their options between becoming employees or entrepreneurs. Participants undergo a journey of self-discovery to identify their preferences and potential pathways in the Nigerian economy. They are exposed to opportunities in gaining employment and the possibilities that arise from entrepreneurship. By the end of this module, participants decide whether to transition into the Create module to develop their business ideas.
Create Module: This module is for individuals with business ideas looking to turn them into profitable enterprises. Participants are trained in creative ways to implement their business ideas and understand the various components of a Business Model Canvas (BMC). Beneficiaries develop a concrete business idea and a detailed Business Model Canvas (BMC) during this phase.
Start Module: Building on the Create module, this phase focuses on drafting a comprehensive business plan. Participants receive training in business administration, financial management, and implementation strategies, preparing them to launch and operate their businesses successfully.
Aftercare support assistance
This is a kind of follow up for trained MSMEs under the ICSS Entrepreneurial training. This approach involves either a one-on-one or a collective group interaction with participants based on similar identified gaps in their businesses. It is basically a hand holding process where TFCs identify areas participants will need additional support as start-up entrepreneurs. It is a series of activities that will reinforce skills, assess beneficiaries’ knowledge gaps and how to access some business support opportunities. It includes.
1. Field visitations
2. Coaching
3. Workshops
4. Building linkages and networks for easy access to knowledge and business support.
